Easter

Easter egg hunts.

Floppy eared bunnies.

Soft marshmallow filled candies.

Parades, and other virtues of spring.

That's Easter......Right? El Wrongo!

Easter is the most important day of the calendar. Easter pertains directly to the resurrection of Jesus. Christians today are members of the largest religion in the history of this world. Why would that be?

The answer is: because of the resurrection.

To put it simply, there would be no Christian's if it were not for Easter. Easter is the culmination of events prophesied in the Old Testament. To put it even more simply, Easter is the holiest of all holy days. No other day of the year compares to Easter.

God sent his Son as He said he would. Some people recognized the fact, others were intimidated by a messiah. Jesus, the Son, warned the populous that they were wavering from the covenant they had agreed too. Jesus reached out to all. Jesus' promise of a kingdom "not of this world" was offered to everyone, as it is today. Jesus was crucified, in payment for our transgressions, died, and rose again three days later.

The Easter holiday celebrates the victory over death when Jesus rose again.

Believe it or not. We all have that choice.

Happy Easter to all. And to all a blessed day.
